The Institute produces community based research on a number of topics and issues. The purpose is to call attention to trends and opportunities and provide foundation information to interested stakeholders. This portion of The Institute’s work is supported through contributions and pledges from individuals, businesses, and foundations.

The Institute also prepares proprietary studies on a variety of topics and initiatives for private, public, non-profit, and institutional clients. Projects have ranged from a community or small business to a statewide initiative or global company. Former clients have represented the following sectors:
