2024-2025- Through the Free2B Mom initiative, The Institute created a data matrix of all 67 counties in Pennsylvania to include data related to SUD with an emphasis on opioids. Data included recent trends in use, deaths, and arrests. There was special emphasis on women of childbearing age, pregnant women, and post-natal women. The data was reviewed through an equity lens in as many cases as possible. Birth outcomes, including NAS data, were provided. Additionally, other data, including economic and social determinants of health, were reported.

Also, interviews and surveys with moms, providers, and case managers were conducted to uncover the context supporting the quantitative data. The data was analyzed, and significant results were noted in a summary that included graphical representations.

2018- The Institute provided program evaluation services for the 4Ride initiative to determine if access to transportation is reducing the negative implications of the social determinants of health on the population in the target geography. The research measured effectiveness, satisfaction, and outcomes of Rabbit Transit services on physical and mental health, job outlook, access to food, services, and education/training and other quality of life indicators.
