 2022- The Institute completed a market study on the use of Earth Conservancy land for off-roading and hiking travels. Economic impact was evaluated to determine feasibility.

2022-The Allegheny Ridge Recreation Association was exploring the feasibility of an off-roading trail system in the Pittsburgh region. Through a subcontract with Laird Consultancy, LLC, The Institute supported this market study via qualitative and quantitative data analysis of responses to a ridership survey. This study aligned with Department of Conservation & Natural Resources funding requirements.

2021- Through a subcontract with Laird Consultancy, LLC, The Institute reviewed and modified a community perception and interest survey and completed the quantitative analytics for the survey. Additionally, the research team reported the projected economic impact of an outdoor recreation park, involving the use of Earth Conservancy based on the recommended operating model. Economic impact of park operations as well as visitor activity was evaluated. The regional market was also studied to determine feasibility. This study aligned with Department of Conservation & Natural Resources funding requirements.
